Hello, I'm Claire

I know from experience that healing isn’t linear. Even in the hardest moments, growth is still possible.

I believe we all carry an inner capacity for resilience and connection, even when it feels distant.

My style is warm, curious, and nonjudgmental, and I care deeply about building trust and safety so meaningful change can unfold.

Spending time outdoors ground me—whether hiking, listening to music, being creative, practicing yoga, or simply connecting with loved ones.

I continue to learn about myself and the world through the wonder and humility of being a mother to my young child.

A bit about my work

I enjoy helping people navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship patterns, self-esteem challenges, and substance use concerns.

I take a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy, utilizing evidence-based methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic practices to help you reconnect with your thoughts, emotions, and body awareness. Together, we’ll clarify your values and explore small, meaningful shifts that can make life feel more manageable, while also making space for the stress and emotions that naturally arise. I’m also trained in Somatic and Attachment-Focused (SAFE) EMDR, which can be offered if it feels like a helpful tool for your journey.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA),

I also enjoy supporting people as they explore or shift their relationship with substances and addictions—whether working toward abstinence, practicing harm reduction, or beginning to reflect on their use. I meet clients where they are. I also work with those affected by someone else’s use, helping them find understanding, support, and strategies to care for themselves.

I am affirming of all identities and strive to approach my work with cultural humility, recognizing my own perspectives and privilege while learning from and honoring each client’s unique story and experience.

More about me

Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade in education, teaching early childhood through elementary-aged students in a variety of settings. I hold a Waldorf teaching certificate from Antioch University New England, which continues to shape my holistic and creative approach to growth, as well as my deep interest in human development across the lifespan.

I’m also a 200-hour certified yoga teacher (Asheville Yoga Center, 2017) and previously taught weekly yoga to young adults in residential addiction and trauma treatment. That experience deepened my appreciation for the body’s wisdom and the meaningful insights that can come when we are provided a space to slow down and listen inwardly.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hold a BA in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art.

I believe healing happens in connection—with others, with ourselves, and with the world. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your capacity for growth. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel heard and can begin to live more fully from a place of authenticity, resilience, and hope.
