Gathering the Somatic Community

Making room for connection, curiosity, and community

There are so many people in our region drawn to the work of helping people come home to themselves: to their bodies, their relationships, and their aliveness. We work from different traditions, speak different professional languages, and find our way into this work through different paths. And yet, there is often a deep recognition when we find one another.

At Somatic Collaborative, we care about the community that makes this work possible. Beyond our individual practices and professional trainings, we want there to be places where somatic practitioners can meet, build relationships, share what they're learning, and simply enjoy being together.

Each summer, we host a gathering for the somatic community—a day to step away from our usual roles, spend time together, and nurture the connections that help this field flourish. There is room for conversation, movement, shared food, curiosity, and the simple pleasure of being among people who care about this work.

We also host a more intimate, non-holiday gathering at our office each December, with occasional smaller gatherings throughout the year. These moments don't need a grand agenda. Sometimes, making the time and space to be together is enough.

Are you part of the somatic community?

If you consider yourself a somatic practitioner—of any stripe, background, or training—we'd love to know you're out there. You don't need to belong to a particular modality or have followed a particular path.

Whether your work centers on psychotherapy, bodywork, movement, touch, breath, nervous system regulation, or another approach to embodied experience, you're welcome to reach out and let us know a little about yourself and your work.

We're glad you're part of this wider community, and we look forward to finding more ways to bring us together.
