Somatic Practice
Somatic Practice offers body-based, trauma-informed support for personal growth, nervous system regulation, and embodied living. While it is not psychotherapy, it can be a powerful complement to therapy—or a meaningful stand-alone path for those seeking greater connection with themselves.
Not every skilled guide on a healing journey is a licensed psychotherapist. Some of the most transformative people we've encountered have come from backgrounds in nursing, bodywork, movement education, contemplative practice, coaching, or other specialized forms of somatic training. What matters most to us is not a particular credential, but the depth of training, integrity, trauma-informed perspective, and ability to help people move toward lasting change.
Our Somatic Practitioners offer body-centered support that complements psychotherapy while remaining distinct from it. Their work may include helping clients develop greater nervous system regulation, deepen body awareness, build resilience, reconnect with intuition, integrate life experiences, or cultivate new ways of relating to themselves and the world. This work is educational, experiential, and growth-oriented rather than psychotherapy, and each practitioner's background, scope of practice, and approach will be clearly described so you can choose the support that feels right for you.
We are honored to share our space with practitioners whose gifts deserve to be more widely known. One of our hopes for Somatic Collaborative is to create a home where exceptional, deeply trained members of our community can be discovered, supported, and connected with the people who will benefit most from their work.
