Hello, I'm Marielle
If I had three selves, I would be body surfing in glorious Atlantic, hiking the magical BlueRidge Mountains, and here in the Piedmont where I live on the Haw River in a community I love.
I find delight and communion with the ephemeral. Gestures of the body, emotion, light, seasonal magic of falling leaves and blooming trees remind me that everything is temporary, everything is transmittable, all things are in a state of becoming. I fiercely love being with what is and holding space and reverence for all of it.
I believe play (creativity) is our birthright and can show up in infinite ways. I am devoted to my creative practices and know deep in my bones that these practices jump start life force and unique expression. I believe that we are in fact snowflakes and that we each have a distinctive essence that, when contacted, activates resilience and opens the doors of possibility.
I have lived a lot of decades and am happy to report that life gets more rich, nuanced, and expansive. I know for a fact that clarity, belonging, and the ability to truly love and trust oneself are all possible. Huzzah!
What is Integrative Coaching
Integrative coaching is an approach that draws on multiple disciplines and ways of knowing to address the whole person—body, mind, emotions, imagination, and the less conscious aspects of ourselves.
In addition to drawing from a variety of modalities to respond to each person's unique needs, my work also focuses on integration. I help clients access and somatically integrate parts of themselves that may have been dormant, disconnected, or overlooked.
A core principle of my work is meeting people where they are. I have worked with remarkably varied populations, from special-needs preschoolers to high-level leadership at NASA. Attuning to each person allows me to sense and respond to what each person needs.
Marielle as an Integrative Coach
As an Integrative Coach for over 13 years, I weave together somatic practices, principles of neuroscience, mindfulness, active imagination, energy work, and creative process, responding to each client’s unique needs rather than following a prescribed approach.
I have studied and practiced Hakomi, Parts Work, Active Imagination, Family and Systemic Constellations, Meditation, Shamanism, Body-Mind Centering, Contemplative Movement, Myth and Archetype.
In addition to healing modalities, I have decades of experience in many forms of improvisation and creative process. Improvisation cultivates receptivity and agile response. The work of active imagination takes us into a realm of non-ordinary reality where we can access the deeper knowing parts of ourselves, experience a felt sense of possibility, and develop the capacity to inhabit the fullness of who we are.
The work I do is less concerned with examining the past and its stories, and more concerned with what is alive in the present moment. We look for the parts of you that need waking up, the parts that are whole, strong, and resilient. Most of us think that when we fix ourselves, we will finally feel successful, whole, worthy of belonging, enough. The reality is that you are enough and worthy as you are, even in the
messiness, confusion, loneliness, and broken-heartedness.
Clients often leave a session feeling like they’ve gotten a chiropractic adjustment for their soul, nervous system, and heart. A core part of my work is stimulating your own healing response and helping to sustain it until the shift feels stable.
I offer optional support between sessions by text or audio message, as the work involves creating new pathways of thinking and responding. Especially in the beginning, it is useful to support this new growth. The mind is wily and has tactics to keep things as they are, believing the known is safer than the unknown. Between-session support helps reinforce the shifts that begin in our sessions. I also offer optional homework that is typically pleasurable, easy and accelerates the process of transformation.
Who gravitates to my work
My clients are often people who have done and value inner work. Many come to my practice having explored other modalities and are curious about what might complement the work they’re already doing or open up new possibilities.
The people drawn to my work tend to be seekers, spiritually curious, intuitive, creative, and often highly sensitive (HSPs). Sometimes the world can feel like too much, or they can feel like they are too much for the world. There is a need to find ballast amidst the turmoil.

I work with a wide range of needs, with particular experience in creativity, entrepreneurship, embodied leadership, identity work, and life transitions such as career changes, empty nesting, and finding a new sense of purpose. Underlying much of this work is the desire to live and create from a more authentic,
embodied sense of self.
I work remotely and offer a free introductory conversation to answer questions and explore whether my approach might be a good fit for you. If you're curious to experience the work firsthand, we can arrange a complimentary session.
