Our Vision

Somatic Collaborative began with a simple belief: healing happens best in relationship.

Relationship with ourselves. Relationship with our bodies. Relationship with compassionate, skilled practitioners. Relationship with a community that reminds us we don't have to do any of this alone.

We started as a group psychotherapy practice rooted in somatic, trauma-informed care. But from the beginning, our dream was bigger than creating another therapy office. We imagined a place where exceptional practitioners from complementary disciplines could work alongside one another, learn from one another, and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. A place where newer somatic practitioners could be supported as they grow, where experienced practitioners could continue to deepen their craft, and where collaboration naturally leads to better care for everyone.

We don't believe healing belongs to any one profession.

Psychotherapy, bodywork, somatic practice, movement, nervous system education, and other healing arts each offer something unique. Rather than asking which approach is "best," we believe they become more powerful when they exist in conversation with one another. Sometimes the right next step is therapy. Sometimes it's bodywork. Sometimes it's both. Our hope is to create a community where those pathways are connected rather than isolated.

Because of that, we are intentional about who joins Somatic Collaborative. We look for practitioners who are deeply compassionate, committed to lifelong learning, grounded in trauma-informed care, and genuinely collaborative. Technical skill matters, but so do humility, curiosity, kindness, and a sincere desire to help people move toward meaningful, lasting change.

We also believe that practitioners deserve inspiring places to work. Too many helping professionals carry the weight of this work in isolation. We hope to create a professional home where people feel supported, connected, challenged, and encouraged—where ideas are shared freely, referrals happen naturally, friendships grow, and learning never stops.

As we continue to grow, our vision is to thoughtfully expand the ways we support healing while staying rooted in the values that brought us here. Every practitioner, every service, and every new offering is considered through the same question:

Will this help people come home to themselves with greater safety, connection, and aliveness?

If the answer is yes, we're excited to welcome it into the community.

This is only the beginning.
